Get Online NOLA at WordCamp NOLA 2016
WordCamp NOLA 2016
WordCamp NOLA is a community-based conference designed to discuss everything to do with the fastest growing CMS, WordPress. On Saturday, August 13th, WordCamp NOLA 2016 will be the first WordCamp in the New Orleans area since 2009. We at Get Online NOLA are very excited to be a part of this conference and help WordPress users in our community.
This year, our founder and CEO, Wendy Dolan, will be participating in a panel on e-commerce at WordCamp NOLA 2016. If you’ve ever wanted to have your own online store, WordPress and WooCommerce make running an e-commerce store easy. Panel members, Mallory Whitfield, Alex Geriner, and Wendy Dolan, along with moderator Shercole King, will discuss best practices for WooCommerce along with tips for how to attract customers through Search Engine Optimization. They will discuss the various options store owners can add to their stores such as online booking, downloadable products, products with customization, shipping calculators, and more.
Get Online NOLA’s Director of Technology, Jeremy Dolan, will discuss the integration of WordPress and WooCommerce and the benefits of an e-commerce website for your business. He will share his insights and experience configuring e-commerce websites for WordPress and why WooCommerce is his weapon of choice.
Tickets are only $20 (and $15 for students by using the code WCstdnt16) for a full day of sessions, custom swag, and lunch at Tulane’s Lavin-Bernick Center. They are even providing a “Happiness Bar” where you can take your WordPress struggles and troubleshoot with a pro. There will be two tracks catered to Developers, Designers & Businesses and Bloggers, Publishers & Community. Registration begins at 8:30 am and finishing up around 5:00 pm.
