We’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with Fund 17 to bring an Introduction to Branding Workshop from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, October 25th on Bayou Road (2533 Columbus St). This event is free and open to the public! Both organizations will be on site to help educate small business owners on the benefits of branding. Our very own VP, Serah Ridolfo, and Graphic Designer, Lindsey Bock will lead the workshop!
One of our core values is ongoing education and bringing our marketing expertise to small business owners all around New Orleans. Partnering with Fund 17 was a natural fit for both of us!
Fund 17 is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to combat opportunity inequality in the seventeen wards of New Orleans by providing micro-entrepreneurs financial and educational tools for self-empowerment. This workshop is to help to educate local business owners and entrepreneurs on branding: what it is, why it’s important and how to brand their business.
About The Workshop
We know that strong and cohesive branding is a key method to build trust and recognition with potential customers for small businesses. Creating a brand is a lot more than just making pretty pictures. Participants will learn that having professional graphics to use on your website, social media, and printed materials can go a long way to standing out against the competition.
The workshop, entitled Develop a Strong Brand for Your Business Using Creative Graphics, will teach participants about utilizing branding. Get Online NOLA will lead the workshop, beginning with graphic design foundations and best practices, then move into demonstrations using a free online graphic design software. Participants should bring a laptop or smartphone to create designs for real-life applications. The workshop will end in an open discussion, plus one-on-one workshop time with the experts.

About The Presenters
Serah Ridolfo is the Executive Vice President of Get Online NOLA and likes to get nerdy with data and metrics. She combines her knowledge of running a small business with her education in Marketing to create digital solutions to help grow your business. You can find her enjoying live shows and spending as much time as possible outdoors when she’s not in the office.
Lindsey Bock is the Graphic Designer at Get Online NOLA and has taught herself everything she knows about design. She designs everything from logos, websites, and social media graphics to business cards and branded promotional products. Lindsey likes to spend time bouldering, hiking, and creating unique works of art.
